DESCRIPTION
Manual, non-digital device that measures blood pressure (BP) using a calibrated dial (aneroid manometer), an inflatable cuff, a squeeze bulb, and a stethoscope, relying on a mechanical bellows that expands with cuff pressure to move a needle on the gauge, offering portability, no battery needs, and professional accuracy when used correctly. Key Components: Cuff: An inflatable bag (bladder) inside a durable nylon or fabric sleeve with Velcro, marked with artery placement indicators and size ranges (infant, adult, etc.). Inflation Bulb: A rubber pump squeezed by hand to inflate the cuff. Valve: A release valve on the bulb or tubing to control the slow deflation of the cuff. Aneroid Manometer: A circular, calibrated dial with a needle, connected to a metal bellows that senses pressure changes, showing systolic and diastolic readings. Tubing: Connects the cuff, bulb, and manometer. Stethoscope (Often Needed): Used to listen for Korotkoff sounds (pulse) as the cuff deflates, critical for manual reading. How It Works: 1) The cuff is wrapped around the upper arm and inflated by squeezing the bulb until it's tight. 2) The manometer needle jumps up, indicating the pressure inside the cuff. 3) The valve is slowly opened to deflate the cuff. 4) As the cuff deflates, you listen with a stethoscope for the first sounds (systolic) and the point where sounds disappear (diastolic). 5) The numbers on the dial at these two points are the blood pressure. Benefits: Portable & Durable: Compact, no batteries needed. Cost-Effective: Often cheaper than high-end digital models. Safe: Mercury-free. Accurate: Reliable when calibrated and used properly by trained individuals (doctors, nurses, medical students). Package includes: 1 x Aneroid Sphygmomanometer BP machine 1 x Simple stethoscope 1 x Carrier case 1 x User manual
